Hi Everyone! This photo is called "Beautiful Photo", which I did for a Client.
The dye on the photo was breaking down overtime; causing the image to fade and turn yellowish green.
The original photo was 4x6. The Client wanted me to crop the image to a 4x4 dimension to get rid of the excess space.
The original photo has many imperfections throughout -- Very faded, lots of dust, scratches, blurry, grainy, discolouration in tonal values, and yellowish green hue could be due to UV sunlight.
To bring back to life the photo's authentic look, and give it a smoother and cleaner appearance, I first removed all the imperfections, and had to manually isolate each section of the photo to bring back all the colors in the image as close as possible and enhance it with detail.
I also reconstructed detail textures in the image such as... Faces, eyes, hair, clothing, sky, leaves and grass.
Then I added shadows and highlights to give the photo more depth.
Lastly, I added clarity and sharpness, to give the image a more natural look.
