For an upcoming art competition later this week!Ironically, I started working on this illustration as a homage to my love of Ancient Egyptian artwork, but as the events in Egypt unfolded, the picture took a different meaning. This is the first time that current events and current-day controversial issues have had an effect on my artwork!

This is gorgeous. I love that you've incorporated all the going-ons in Egypt right now as a reflection of how Egypt has transformed through its existence. I love all of the little details and yet it seems very clean and simple looking.

Love the details, love the composition, and love how the meaning of the picture was molded by real-life events. Current events don't seem very interesting until stuff like this happens and you realize it's future history unfolding right before your eyes! Makes you want to keep up with the news more XD
