Description Not sure why I made this again. Anyway, this is what happens when you throw something into a star, in this case, a planet. It doesn't need to hit the surface to be destroyed: the heat and gravity will do that ahead of time. Anyone else remember that Daffy Duck cartoon?

I'll have more dragons up as soon as I can. I am experimenting with more head designs. I should have one in scraps soon.

Hello:
Ok, I wonder what could have happened to that poor planet to be pushed towards the star like that .

But you are right! even something as massive as a planet would disintegrate way before it reaches the star .

Ever played the game Earth 2150? It's full of sci-fi nonsense, but Earth disintegrates at the end before it reaches the sun. Long story. To be fair, the reason it flew into the sun (nukes) was nonsense too. Even all the nukes every made aren't that powerful.

Hello:
Well, then I guess I am glad I never played that game.

There is a plan that involves throwing massive asteroids in an almost-collision course of Earth. The idea is to alter the planet's orbit and making it be farther away from the sun. the process would be very lenghty and there wouldn't be much effect on the surface. The reason for this is the extend Earth's ability to sustain life as the Sun starts to grow-old and become hotter.

Interesting. Still, it is a good game, with a crappy sequel (2160) and an almost-unheard of prequel (2140). There are two other games (Lost Souls, which I have heard bad things about) and the Moon Project (which I have played and it is good) which take place during 2150.

That sounds like it still got a lot of games. I wonder how would they survive with no Earth around anymore. Lots of colonies and massive food-making I guess.

At least, as long as you get water you can make extra air by electrolisis.

In Earth 2160, they start to terraform Mars, having constructed an evacuation fleet (okay, three of them).

That, and most of one faction is run by computers commanding an army of robots.

Sounds like they do have some mess there, hehehe. But terraforming Mars sounds good, at least they can get a foothold.

And despite the destruction of Earth, the three factions are STILL fighting each other. And aliens. It's a weird series.

I can see why you think that way.

So  Iguess you made that pic thinking in that game?

Not at all, but your comment reminded me of it.

Ohh, I see. Well, at least I now know a bit about those games.

That reminds me that I still want to build some O'Neill Cylinders in low-poly 3d .

One of the designs proposed for space colonies. That particular design is my fav.
