Love it! It Remembers me about the Clockwork City, where Sotha Sil used to live (TES). I love it!

I really like your gear designs! And I'm glad you use Blender, I just downloaded it a while ago and am learning to use it. I'm excited to see cool things that can be created by it! Awesome job!

I say my goodman that is incredible! your lighting and detail is quite well done i can see why you won!.
Some points however i must tell you is the overall mechanical detail appears to smooth and clean for the type of scene you were projecting. to really add the needed realism simulated grease and scratches on the gears and rods would really make this piece shine with beauty. not to mention adding some metal grain like in brushed steel on the chains would add a nice touch. the teeth of the gears look a bit to smooth and rounded off.
Overall a incredible work of art!!!!
I have to ask would you be interested in joinng the 3dsteamworks Productions team? I'm gathering various artists to join in on the new team i'm building to make official 3dsteamworks art and animation projects.

Thanks for the comment!
The proposal sounds interesting, but at the moment, I'm involved in a large project, that consumes many hours a day. The project should be finnished in three months.

Wonderful!! If you ever render this at other angles, I would love them! Would you mind if I use this for a background?

Thanks! I'm testing a render at other angle, a different light configuration (more soft) and some geometry tuning.
Yes, you can use for a background

Really good render. The choise of colors for the materials are great. It's not necessery, but a bit of DOF blur would add some more depth, I think. It's really good without it too.

Excellent job on it! Congratulations on the win, too. You've done a very fine job on all the minute details, from the chains down to the rivets and even beveling the edges of the sprockets, very nice touch Everything needed to make the piece stand out for what it is. And some nice rendering too.

Really nice and complex, good lighting and materials/rendering. For an ancient device, though, it might use a little (or maybe a lot) dirt, scratches and wear marks.

Hi, Blender!
This device was maintained very carefully by elders

Hi! (Hehe, "blenderlogo", in fact
)
That kind of "realism" is the most difficult to achieve.

So clean that you need some dirt eventually to get more "reality"

you know me I have a job where I use very old machines and tools, and we maintain very carefully, the material is not really dirty but rather skated, it does not shock me like you did here
