Shepard: -Not a word Jack, if you're going on this mission I'm giving you Spectre provisional status. You'll need the authority on the field, trust me on this.

Jack: -All right Shepard, if you say so. Just don't go bitching if I blow up a planet by mistake and the council gets blamed *grins*.

Shepard: -Without the relay network, news will take months to reach us. So I don't have to worry about it for some time after your departure at least.

Jack: -Whatever Shepard. Just to be clear, Spectre or no, I work alone, ok ? This Captain Belgarde of yours; he's not going to be a pain in the ass for me right ?

Shepard: -That depends... the ship will take you to the Minos Wasteland; there you'll investigate the reports of the Cerberus base. Belgarde will assist you if you require, but you are the lead operative. After that it's up to you. If you find evidence of what these Turian intelligence reports are suggesting, I expect you to trace whoever is responsible and finish the job. An Alliance ship may not be suitable for the task. You'll have to decide then. Being a Spectre will come in handy, if you need to secure transportation, and you have to part ways with Belgarde at some point.

Jack: -All right, I guess I can live with that. What if I find a secret Cerberus lab full of freaks trying to bring back the Reapers, like Turian intelligence said there is ?

Shepard: -Really ? You have to ask !? You blow them to hell ! That's why I'm sending you, of all people, Jack.

Jack: -Hey, stop it, I'm blushing.

Shepard: -Okey, okey, the ship departs in two days, make sure you're ready. Also, please come to have dinner with me and Liara before you go Jack, we may not see each other for a long time after this.

Jack: -Ugh no, you're getting all mushy on me Shepard. You know I'm not good with that. Why don't you come with me instead. It'll be just like the old days.

Shepard: -I can't do that. The Alliance needs me here Jack. Besides I'm not letting Liara out of my sight, ever again.

Jack: -Again with the mushy stuff. You're getting old Shepard *smiles*.

Shepard: -Maybe, but so are you ! *laughs*.
