Back story: Born an albino, Ashlee was named after her parents light heartedly compared her white fur to the colour of the ashes in their fireplace. She grew up in a little village at the foot of a small mountain where a temple was built near the summit, and while initially made fun of by other children for her albinism, she quickly silenced them by beating them up. Apart from her white fur and pink eyes, another thing that was strange was that even in winter she never felt cold even when knee deep in snow. When she turned ten she got so angry at some bullies picking on one of her friends and conjured a fire aura around her body much to her and everyone else’s shock. The village elder recognised this ability as her having Fire Chi, a great gift from the spirits, one that must be nurtured and guided so he offered to start training Ashlee in Martial Arts and to help her control her fire power. As Ashlee had a great interest in fighting, especially at the tournaments held at the temple every few years, she eagerly accepted once her parents gave their blessing. Over the next nine years Ashlee, now preferring to be called Ash by everyone except her parents, trained constantly in Martial Arts alongside other students, who she quickly surpassed becoming the star pupil of the village elder. She also trained to discipline her Fire Chi so she wouldn’t lose control over it and made use of it in her fighting style. She and a few of her fellow students formed a gang of sorts with her as the leader to help defend the village from bandits and other threats that try to cause trouble. Ash has entered three Martial Arts tournaments over the years, she came in 5th the first time, 2nd in the next and the crowd favourite, and in the most recent one earned 1st place becoming the best fighter in the region.
Things changed when the village received two new visitors, a wolf named Brolly and an Orca named Koral. The two strangers quickly became the talk of the town thanks to Brolly’s charm and Koral’s feats of strength wowing the villagers. Ash became curious about the two and offered to be their guide in the village, learning a little bit more about them and their travels, but she was mostly interested in Koral seeing the super strong orca as a potential challenge. After Koral showed off a bit more to Ash’s gang, the rabbit couldn’t wait anymore and challenged her to a fight, and while hesitant at first Koral couldn’t resist the attention she was getting from the crowd so she accepted. The fight became a little one sided in Koral’s favour as while Ash was highly skilled and much faster than the slower Koral, the Orca was able to endure her strikes thanks to her tough skin and her water powers were a perfect counter to Ash’s fire. Eventually Ash’s frustration got the best of her and left her vulnerable to a powerful hit from Koral’s large tail ending the fight much to everyone’s shock. The defeat bruised Ash’s ego and after a short time sulking, the elder who trained her had a talk with her about how even though Ash was the best fighter in the village, there will always be someone or something out in the world better than her and that even a loss can be a learning experience, so she shouldn’t dwell so much on it and move on. While this did help Ash get over her sulking and accept her loss, it still bothered her that she has peaked in her training as there was no one else locally that can challenge her and visitors like Koral are a rarity. So the elder decided it was time Ash went through the “Trial of Seven Dragons”, an ancient rite of passage for Martial Artists that hasn’t been done in generations but he felt it would be perfect for her. The trial involves travelling around the world and facing against seven fighting masters, but not specific masters just anyone who is highly skilled in their fighting style that Ash will have difficulty in defeating but can also learn from in defeat. There is no time limit to the trial so Ash is allowed to take her time searching as even the journey is just as vital to her training as she will learn about the world outside her village and face different opponents and make new friends. She can also return to her home anytime she wishes and continue the Trial right after. But if Ash is to travel around the world she will need a guide or two so the elder asked Brolly and Koral if the young fighter can join them, which Brolly happily agreed since the more the merrier and the two travellers have grown to like Ash and her fiery attitude. And so Ash now travels with her new friends, travelling around the world, visiting new places and meeting new people and facing new opponents, in search for seven masters to challenge.
Personality: Hot headed and full of confidence, Ash is always ready for a fight, friendly or otherwise. She can be a bit abrasive in interacting with others, particularly strangers but once she gets to know them her attitude is more friendly though still a bit argumentative. Despite this she is a good person that cares about the well being of others in danger and is the first to jump into action either to protect someone physically or defend the honour and reputation of a friend, both times mostly involving her using her fists more than her words. Ash takes her martial arts seriously and is very calm and disciplined when training that it can surprise those who mostly only know about her fiery attitude. She enjoys a good fight and likes to challenge those she believes would push her limits, this also makes her hate cowards who talk a big game but can't back it up or those that use their abilities to pick on those weaker than themselves. Ash dislikes losing and takes it hard but she has learned to accept it with grace, despite some grumbles, and vow to get better. In her youth Ash was a little sensitive about her Albinism so she started dying the tips of he rears and hair pink to give her fur a splash of colour, and while not overly feminine in her appearance and interests she does enjoy making herself look good and presentable in her own way. The only people she lets call her by her full name “Ashlee” are her parents and Kung Fu master, the elder of her village. Everyone else should call her Ash.

Abilities:
Fire Chi: Ash can conjure an aura of fire energy using her Chi energy and manipulate it at will. Mostly to surround her fists and feet in flames to augment her attacks, but she can also throw fire balls for range attacks and surround her whole body in flames for protection. Thanks to this power she is essentially fireproof and can endure extremely high temperatures. This power isn’t infinite though and excessive use can deplete her energy, requiring her to rest for it to recharge. Also she can only control her own flames, not natural flames or the flames of other pyro-kinetics.
Super Speed: A natural fast runner, she can use her fire abilities by aiming flame bursts behind her with her palms and feet to reach super-fast speeds.
Martial Arts: Trained most of her life in various fighting styles of Kung Fu and is an expert in hand to hand combat even when not using her fire powers.
Weapon Skills: Ash mostly prefers fighting hand to hand but is trained to be capable of using a variety of melee weapons.
Dragon Strike: This is Ash’ strongest ability where she focusses all her Fire Chi into one limb causing the flames to burn so intensely it becomes blue in colour and can cause incredible damage to whatever she hits. However this attack drains her energy completely making her physically exhausted right after and requires hours of rest to regain her strength. Due to this drawback it is a last resort attack and only if Ash is certain she has backup to help her during her weakened state.

Fears and Flaws:
While Ash does enjoy bathing or soaking in hot water to relax, she doesn’t like water or getting wet in general due to it weakening her Fire powers, and because she stayed away from large bodies of water or activities involving it she never learned how to swim properly.
Another weakness of hers is extreme colds, for most of her life her fire chi had kept her body warm even during snowy winters so she never experienced being cold. Normally this isn’t a problem as long as her energy is up but if she ever finds her powers depleted or weakened she becomes vulnerable to low temperatures and has difficulty dealing with it and shivers uncontrollably.
Her Fire Chi is tied to her physical and spiritual energies, using it too much without rest can leave her physically exhausted. Also while she can control her own flames she cannot control natural flames or those of other Pyro-kinetics, though she is fire-proof to them.
Her fiery attitude tends to lead to a “Leap before you look” approach to things that get her in trouble a lot.

Creator’s Notes: Ash is a character that was in the works for a bit but only recently have I put some effort into fully conceptualising. I've been wanting to make a Fire Rabbit type character for a while due to my Chinese Zodiac sign being a Fire Rabbit. It wasn't until the reveal of Pokemon Sword and Shield Starter Scorbunny that my imagination started putting some more thought to the idea, and at the same time Dragonball Super had introduced the english dub of Caulifla (the cocky female Saiyan form Universe 6) which gave me some idea of the personality to aim for, plus I've been wanting a character that was an aggressive fighter and can conjure power auras for a while and this was a good opportunity. The other main reason for this character was the need for a Speed member for a team I was making made up of Brolly the Wolf and Koral the Orca, two characters that weren't designed by me but I adopted and made my own. I was considering keeping the theme and look for another character design I can adopt however the idea I had in mind was too specific and had no luck. Also despite wanting to design Ash and get her out in the world I was feeling a little exhausted from the last big art project I did, so I decided to use a character base for the body and pose and draw from that. A bit of a cheat yes, but I give full credit to the artist who made the base below. Overall her appearance takes some inspiration from Kung Fu Panda as far as her clothes go and the colour scheme I got from the Welsh Flag as it is an example of Red, White and Green going well together. Making her Albino was a bit of an excuse to make her fur colour white but I also liked the fan character Celeste created by KissTheThunder with her vibrant pinks against the white, which also helped inspire the idea of adding the dyed tips to Ash' ears and forelock.

I love her design and the effort you put in on her profile! The Burst wisp on the back of her uniform is also a very nice touch! It really goes well with her fire attribute.

Yeah the Burst Wisp nearly became an Asian symbol at some point but after thinking it over I thought it was too much and decided on a simpler image everyone can associate with fire.
Had to get some feedback on a number of things like if it was okay for her to tie her black belt into a bow since I thought it would make a nice feminine touch to contrast her masculine outfit. While I was told doing something like that is offensive, after some reading I discovered that was only the case with Karate Black Belts. Kung Fu belt colours aren't signs of rank just what school they belong to.
In the end I decided to go with the bow and simply have the belt as a normal decoration of her clothes and not related to her Martial Arts training.
