While Umbra kept his composure in bidding the Archie characters goodbye, Rej is a little more...emotional over the whole thing. Out of all the characters I'm sorry to see go, Bunnie Rabbot and Nicole the Holo-Lynx are at the top of the list as I loved seeing how they developed in the comics as well as the personal struggles they had to deal with.

I always found Bunnie very appealing as she was a cyborg and a heavy hitting fighter who could go toe to toe with Sonic and Knuckles on her best day, I loved how she interacted with the others and eventually got married to Antoine, which came off as a more convincing relationship than most of the others (and I got a weakness for girls with southern accents). I was a little dissapointed how her story-arc with dealing with the loss of her cybernetics was abandoned once the reboot occured, but thankfully it didn't erase her marriage.

As for Nicole, I always liked the concept of AIs that gain sentience but are benevolent, rather than turning homicidal as with nearly all fictional media. Following Nicole's development was a great read as she was a helpful and kind friend to the Freedom Fighters. But the story-arc that really got me emotionally invested was that time when thanks manipulations by villains and latent fears from the public, Nicole basically became a pariah to the people she wanted to protect. It was really sad seeing her break down into tears when everyone (apart from the Freedom Fighters) started chanting for her to be shut down, but fortunately over time she repaired the people's faith in her before the reboot occured so I'm happy that got resolved in time.

I'm going to miss these two ladies but I hope they'll return for IDWs Sonic comics next year...maybe.
