After hosting his Great Race with the help of Sonic and his friends to test out his new car designs, the President of Donpa Motors Dodon Pa himself decided to expand his roster of racers. Team Eclipse were among the lucky recruits and were gifted with new rides of their very own, courtesy of Donpa Motors. While the Treasure Hunters were more accustomed to Extreme Gear hover technology, Umbra couldn't say no to a racing challenge and his friends happily followed his lead. They agreed to a rotation system to keep to the Teams of Three rule, but in a Free-For-All race all four members put the pedal to the metal!
Finally got this finished, I'm starting to make a habit of ideas starting small that become big projects. This pic started out as simply just Umbra in a car!
Anyway I'm really enjoying Team Sonic Racing, while it's not in the same tier as MarioKart and I do miss the transformations from All Stars, the game is still pretty cool. I know I'm slow on doing fannart mostly but I still hope this is still relevant.
I haven't done many vehicles before so I was worried about the difficulty but once I did one car the rest became easier to do. I wanted each member of Team Eclipse to have their own unique racer different from what is in the game.
Umbra = "The Spell Charger" based on a 1969 Dodge Charger. It took me a while to decide on Umbra's car as I wanted something different from the types Sonic and Shadow drive and I instantly took a liking to the Charger as it was Ghost Rider's car in the comics and Agents of Shield. Plus it's name of the Hell Charger made it easy to make a name for Umbra's.
Ruby = "The Relic Comber" based on a VW Buggy concept. For Ruby I wanted a car that was both practical for rough terrains but still look stylish.
Rej = "The Junk Bug" based on a classic VW Beetle. Yeah this was a no brainer, it works on multiple levels from Rej being a beetle, having the voice of TFA Bumblebee plus the car's design really lent itself to easily mimicing Rej's body parts.
Lunas = "The Moon Wrecker" based on a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. This one wasn't so easy to decide for Lunas. I just went for big strong vehicle types since he's a Power character, but my friend did point out the design resembles the kart for Tanooki Mario.
Backgrounds remain my weakness so I hope what I've done isn't too bad, though I am proud with how the mounted screen came out. Also want to credit for creating a Hi-Res image of the game logo:

Originally I was thinking Rej would pilot some sort of Mad Max-esque vehicle that looked like it was made of old recycled vehicle parts stuck together, like what he is made of. But this works too.
I like Lunas's vehicle the most out of this bunch.

Rej may be made of junk parts but he likes to go for the cool factor, hence why he gave himself a beetle like upgrade and applies the same design to most things. Besides I think Dodonpa supplies the cars.

The "Junk Bug," now that is a cool little car. And to think I just drew my own junk robot. Scrapyard FTW.
