Description
A practice run before I redo kryptonanimus.deviantart.com/a… from September. I went for a longer, thinner neck, and more accurate mouth. Took about 2 hours total. I need to work on getting the shading darker for next time. Ah well, hope you like it for now.SAI and PS on Surface Pro ~ 2 hours

I start my shading completely 100% black, then turn down the opacity. You can get it exactly how you want it!

That's how I used to do mine, and frankly I didn't like it so much. Especially for Krypton (or any gold/yellow character), If I don't put a gold overlay over the black shading, it looks like an ugly yellowish green. This one kryptonanimus.deviantart.com/a… was achieved by doing the dark gray, multiply, then erasing where the light goes..then adding a gold overlay.

II just use the softedge and erase the black after turning down the opacity. I can show you if we livestream sometime

Though, if you want it more realistic, the mouth webbing would be more pink/fleshy colored, similar to the tongue color, and are not part of the "lips."

I've always had Kryp with the gold webbing, but if I did a 3/4 angle and you saw the other one, it'd be the color of his gums.
