I love the messy hairstyle, it fits perfectly with the steampunk aesthetic. Does the posture seem strange to you? It didn't to me at first, but then I looked at it again. The stooped shoulders give off an air of subservience, which I think clashes with the feelings of strength that I get from the messy hairstyle and adventurer's glasses. This isn't a problem, actually. If she was part of an adventuring party or the crew of an airship I'm sure there would be room for people with kinder sensibilities, kind of like Kaleigh in Joss Wheedon's Firefly.
