Description
I found an old sketch from a while ago and decided to go ahead and paint it today. The Aerosaur featured in this painting is named Agile.

It was a cloudy day when Gustova drove to the mall to run an errand and as he was stepping out of his car in the sprawling mall parking lot he heard a roar, being a plane spotter enthusiast he opened the car door and grabbed his camera. As he turned back around a massive shape unlike anything he had seen before suddenly broke free of the low hanging clouds descending rapidly, its wings folded outward, gliding past only a few hundred feet above his head.

Gustova raised his camera and blindly snapped several pictures staring in awe as the aircraft brandished a full weapon payload under its wings. Its massive feet dangled as if it were about to land on the parking lot itself. Gustova's legs felt numb as the after burners re engaged and with a deafening roar that seemed to shake every bone in his body as the aircraft sped up and disappeared back into the clouds. As soon as the beast appeared it was gone.

Gustova stood riveted in place staring at the rolling clouds the beast disappeared into. He had never seen an aerosaur so close before. He looked down at his camera and suddenly remembered he had never changed the film roll from the day before. Swearing under his breath Gustova could still hear the aerosaur thundering above but the clouds kept it hidden.

When he got home later that day after his shopping trip Gustova took the film roll from the camera and developed each photo. He finally got to the last slide and let out a sigh of relief and excitement. He had had only one picture frame left on the roll that day and sure enough as the last frame developed the aerosaur came out crystal clear. He lifted the photo slowly and stared at it in disbelief that he had managed to capture it.
