PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Tannin is a very large dragon unlike any that has ever been seen in the history of the Fire Nation. He is a Western/European style dragon rather than a Chinese/Asian/Eastern style Dragon. He's considerably tall standing at a height of 25 feet at the shoulders with a total wingspan of 155 feet from tip to tip. With the exception of his lower body, specifically his throat, belly, the inner portions of his long tail and legs, and the underside of his gargantuan wings, that are beige in color, a vast majority of his body is covered in dark purple scales which is very rare among dragons in the Fire Nation which have been commonly documented as being red, blue, and sometimes green. Tannin also has a roughly triangular head with white horns that curve forwards, a pair of large, keen red eyes with lavender sclera and thin, vertical slit pupils, and serrated yet sharp canine teeth. His claws are long, sharp, and white, and he has large bat-like wings with rigid tips. His scaly skin, particularly on his back, has a texture like that of a modern-day crocodile.

SADDLE DESCRIPTION

Tannin's saddle is very basic, made from brown leather with a single strap to hold onto, and a pair of stirrups for the rider's legs. This saddle was eventually replaced with a larger saddle to accommodate a greater number of passengers.

PERSONALITY

Tannin was very distrusting of humans when he and Izuku first met on the Island of the Sun Warriors and didn't exactly like him at first, preferring to keep his distance. Over time, however, he came to genuinely care about his rider and started treating him with respect and even friendship. He has demonstrated extreme loyalty to those who have earned it and won't hesitate to save his friends and allies.

FIGHTING STYLE

Being a dragon, Tannin is naturally gifted in Firebending and has the standard dragon breath. His dragon fire, however, burns much hotter and more intense than standard dragon fire, barring that of the masters, Ran and Shaw, with some saying that it hits with the impact of a meteor. But when he needs to get in close, he'll rip and tear with his teeth and claws, impale enemies on his horns, or just straight up send them flying back with a swing of his mighty tail.
