I was just about to suggest this for a DD, right before I scrolled down and said, "Oh! It's already received one! "
This photo is really awesome. Very unique.

Man that's a lot for 20 pesos! There are machines that do it for 5... anyways the moment is priceless! You can find so many different things in Mexico that you can't imagine...
Like we say in here: "Only in Mexico"
Great picture and deserved DD! Congratulations!

there's something about the angle of it, that makes you think he's sort of preying on innocent people who desperately want to be weighed
fantastic contrast

The 'weigher' really makes this shot stand out as more than just any other urban shot.
Great composition, and well done on finding this chap.

This is great. It looks so completely random. Great lineplay, great weird lettering, great sense of desolation. I really like this frame.

Just a really good looking, and interesting image. I love the presence of all the writing, how the subject and his surroundings seem to be thrown together. Beautiful range of tones

that could be a perfect scene on a coens movie. you know they base a lot of their weird scenes on random (su)real stories like this? you should definitely get their contact and send them this.

Nope, cause I am now writting a scenario on my own. Why would I give them my ideas ?

hehehe, touche. but i suppose they could fund you an one year trip around latin america with unlimited film supply to find more precious material like this. fair enough?
btw, where do you scan?

Indeed. I first wanted to make a picture very close to him with someone being weighed (Robert Capa's the closer the better). But then I thought that the picture would be way more powerful with emptyness filling in the frame.
