Description

With the power of the Song of Time, Link was free to rewind the last three days as many times as he wished. There were many people who needed his help, but there was one pair who patricularly stood out to the young boy. They were Anju and Kafei, and he had gone to great lengths to help them. However, despite his efforts, he could only reunite them in the last moments before the moon landed, and could not undo Kafei's curse. He was determined to do whatever it took to get a better outcome for them, no matter how many times he needed to travel to the past.

One rather convoluted solution seemed to be promising. There was talk of secret fairy magic that could possibly undo a curse, but it was said to come with a price of its own. When he reported his findings to Anju, she insisted that she be the one to be used to test it. Link agreed, searching for the hidden charm that was said to grant such power. It took him a whole day to get it, but he eventually prevailed and took it back to Anju.

Keen to get Kafei back to normal as soon as possible, she invoked its power. She didn't realize that the milkmaid, Cremia, was passing nearby on a delivery at exactly that moment. Worse still, the magic malfunctioned, so rather than curing a curse it instead caused one. The strange curse of fairy origin caused the two women to shrink, cutting them down the the size of dolls.

Astonished by this twist, Link could only stare at the two tiny women he was suddenly holding. He wondered if this was fixable in the time he had, or if he should get his ocarina out instead...
