if you're spamming the artist because it was chosen for DD (and u're jealous), then u might as well go spam the person who selected this because it's THEIR oppinion whether they wanted it =_=; go sulk somewhere else!! >< i'm sure the artist's feelings would be hurt too. why are there so many spammers here just to insult other ppl's oppinions and expressions of art??!! O.o

i'm just saying this because the comment u just gave is neither a critique or a encouraging comment. rather, it's hurtful. i hope u're happy with mocking other ppl.

No one is spamming you moron! It's commenting. Simply because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean it's spamming. The fact is the photo is rehashed and just because it's a DD doesn't mean it's the best thing in the world. I think people are getting a little irritated in the photo community because out of the 1000's of beautiful and original photos on this site DA keeps highlighting the same nude rehashed crap over and over again. I don't blame people for being rather ticked off.
I like how there's a bunch of comments like "ooo i like!" and "" and "this is so cool" but they're not considered spam but as soon as someone says "I don't like this" it's suddenly spam. Hypocrite.

um...okay, i didn't call u anything. i hope that not everything that comes out of ur mouth is a hurful comment. calling me a moron or a hypocrite has nothing to do with this =_=+. I never said it was the best in the world just because it was DD (u moron ) I didn't mean only in the photo community when i said that there were too many spammers to make other ppl unhappy by insulting them. What u were saying in ur comment (what it sounded like....i'm not sure if u meant it) was that this picture dosn't deserve to be a DD. Whether it deserves a DD or not is up to the ppl who selects rite? so why dun u complain to them how unfair it is and whine about it there? O.o
i'm sure there should be a forum thread open for all u ppl who're not happy with the admins there and wanna complain about things like "WHy does HE get DD?" or "How come this pic is up on the main page? I can do SO MUCH BETTER!!"
oh, i have another idea. Go complain to ^serpentinekiss who selected this. Tell him how u think his taste in art is worthless!

I'm sure that if u were the person who got DD for a picture that's "perfectly ordinary with some nudity thrown in", and lots of ppl like it, u would probably be happy and not think about things like "Why the hell was this one chosen? it sucks!" or "what's wrong with u ppl? can u see that it's perfectly ordinary?? O.o"

if u're not happy that i called ur comment "spam" then i'll change it to "a rude and unessasary comment". Happy? ^^

Is it so hard to use proper English without "ppl" and "dun?" Just because you're on the internet doesn't mean you need to dumb yourself down. What you said is just ridiculous because obviously I'm not the one making the rehashed nude art here. And how is my comments less necessary than "i like it," "awesome!" etc that add nothing to it either. I never said that you said there were only spammers in the photo community I was trying to explain to your small mind why people in the photo community would be upset and thus aren't necessarly spamming. The fact is I can say whatever I want just as much as anyone else so stop trying to say that I shouldn't. I'm done.

well it tells the artist the following:

they achieved what they were trying
it is unoriginal and therefore their art would be more appreciated if it was original
color can make for some nice contrast if done right
you can still be beautiful with clothes on

of course the artist doesn't have to agree with that but that is what it means when someone comments like that. really i think what she is pissed about is that originality is not important for DD. i do not think she means any disrespect to the artist by it, i just think she would like to see more originality out of the artist.

because "I like it" and "awsome!" gives artists encouragement and encouragement is a very powerful thing. While comments that are not helpful (like maybe proper CRITIQUES?? O.o) and also dicouraging and rude are counted as unnessasary in the point that u can't gain anything from it.
and trying your best to make fun of me doesn't make you any smarter. However, i'll be mature and ignor your rudeness. It's actually quite ridiculous. all i'm saying is that you should have manners and respect other people's feelings (notice that i spelled PEOPLE instead of PPL that u were worked up over ). but i guess you don't ^^.

the ignorant should not preach about other people being ignorant.

that said consider it this way, every comment that relates to the picture can be used by the artist to improve or continue as is. the comments that the artist does not like, the artist can ignore and not keep in their mind on their next work. those they do keep should only improve the artist. the viewer, or critic, or whatever you consider yourself has no right to decide the place of comments on someone else's works. sometimes harsh comments can be the most useful, even if they themselves didn't seem like it.

and i never said that harsh comments werent helpful. if one critiques* in a harsh way, it's still helpful...however....this.......doesn't seem to be one of the helpful ones. If she/he was saying something like "i dont like the lighting of it" the artist can take it and improve it on their next ones. however, the comment that was given ("Wow a black and white picture of a naked girl in a bathtub. This artist has a style of taking picture of nudity, so i dont think that is really a critique. Like in anime, you wont hear someone saying "their bodies are so out of proportion" or "the eyes are too big" just because it's the artist style. Likewise, i'm sure that applies to photos too, where one would look at an image and know who the creater is.

anyhoo, i just find if funny how people gets pissed that someone's got a DD and, well, makes rude comments about it . i dun think i've seen it anywhere else. oh, well, lets stop this pointless argument and i'll go on being ignorant XP
