Description The title is probably going to fly way over most people's heads. Eh. Oh, well. I do have some German fans, though, weeee.

This is a rare pic where I decided to actually try and capture how I was feeling all day. And English alone just don't cut it. All I could think of was excessively melodramatic crap.

Besides, it's my pic. I'll give it a pretentious and cryptic half-German title if I feel like it.

I think this might be my best shading job ever. Which is insane, since I spent a few hours working on a couple requests, earlier in the day, and going absolutely nowhere with them. Every single stylus stroke was seriously an abomination. Was able to salvage one by turning it into a flat-color piece, at least.

Still need to figure out how to do eye sockets, though. And I think the mane should've been pulled out into smaller, wispier pieces. Oh, well, things to do next time. That's how you improve.

Oh, dear. It's always sort of depressing to see this side of her. My guess is that under all the bluster and bravado, there's someone fairly unhappy inside.

It's even better if you've read The Unbearable Lightness of Being, by Milan Kundera. That's sorta the context I was thinking of that phrase in.

That's also why it's pretentious!

Sad, but amazingly Drawn... The hair seems to have emotions from my perspective, so does the face, and most of all the eyes, it makes me want to hug Dash so much, Looking at that from my perspective, It makes me think that she's lost a friend, or been verbally tormented, as in, bullied, or shouted at, maybe even losing a family member, something that would make you close to tears, maybe over that point to make her cry, but that is the moments before, so its hard to tell, I may be just rambling on here... But it's my views, its amazing, I'm faving this...

Thanks for comments!
And I dunno, it was kinda a little more abstract... you'd probably have to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being. "Einmal ist keinmal" essentially means "once is never," and in the context of that novel, means that a mortal life is unbearably "light." Everything is done only once, and has no lasting consequence. In 1,000 years, who will remember? In a million years, no one will be left to remember. In a trillion years, there won't even be anything for alien archaeologists to put in a museum.

And yet, as insignificant as the things we do are, the things we never do... the path you never took, the job offer you never accepted, the girl you never kissed, the friend you never said goodbye to the day before he died... those things matter even less, in the grand scheme of things.

Just normal emo crap, I guess. But German is a more dignified language to be melancholy in, seems like.
