On closer inspection, "Mr. Fluffy" was actually an enormous dust bunny, not a regular bunny. Fluttershy had a funeral for him, anyway.(Insert obligatory complaint about how much work animation is, especially when you're using SAI and GIMP and that's it.)

Sometimes, fanon interpretations of her (fanfiction, etc) portray her as being professionally detached from death, having encountered it so often with her animals. So, while others would be in shock or be depressed, she, to the shock of everyone, is able to handle the situation and take care of whatever needs to be done. I think that's interesting.
