I agree with the Edward Gorey comment, oh man, if you went crazy on this, lost some of that details and went bat crazy with cross hatching and big masses of black and gray, it would be friggin' awesome, like what you started with the bottom of the dress, that sort of pattern would look about right. I love Edward Gorey but unfortunately the only thing I really know him for is the beginning animation to "Mystery Theater" on Channel 8. XD.
