Richard is a hawk shifter. On his world, this has caused some pretty serious problems for him at times, unfortunately, and he's had moments where he's definitely wished he wasn't a shifter.

And at other times, like right now, he's reflected on exactly how being a hawk shifter has changed and affected his life. There's been both good and bad, and he's weighing them, wondering what life would've been like otherwise...and if he should commit to one end or the other, instead of living the constant masquerade he does now.

Richard doesn't have the blue arrowhead marking on the chest; there was a miscommunication with the artist about references. It's still a decidedly awesome picture!
