Woot done. ^^ This was supposed to be a quick manip that only took a couple hours....
Yeah so three days later, it's finally done. Just a calm natural setting, nothing overly exciting. An appy pegasus! Yay, can't go wrong with that.
So for those of you guys who didn't see the WIP, I went out in search of an RPG to draw muse from. I happened across Isilme ( [link] ), popped into their art center and more or less chose a request at random. Poor girl, I don't even know if she wanted the picture from me, but I'm going to offer it to her anyway.
I haven't done a free picture like this in years. Years I say! Wow that makes me feel bitter somehow.
Buuut that's about the end of it. Just something simple. ^^

This 'quick manip gone wrong' was the second factor in tackling you so badly. xD The hair (mane/tail) on Breaking Dawn as well, but not as much as these two I'm prodding you about out of random boredness.
The Wings here. Good Gods. They match the coat so. Friggen. Perfectly. And they're proportionate! Sweet merciful Epona I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to find a uni pic that doesn't have highly Thin wings that are simply overly Long, or even too small over all. I love how the feathers reach to the rump at the base, and how powerful they appear over all; the one closest is at an angle, and only half unfurled, and it still looks like it could easily wrap all the way around the barrel of the horse itself. The mane looks great as well, though I'm not sure if it's being made to blow over the wing or if it's laying across it and you didn't add the little dip that'd be seen in the hair between the neck and wing joint. It's great how you can tell the wing is arched up, especially considering that the arch hides the main connection joint. xD
For something that was supposed to start out as a quick and simple it certainly caught my attention.

Haha, started out that it was supposed to have taken that long, but it was much longer. I'm rather glad, actually. It's good to step back and do something like this that sucks you in just for the enjoyment of doing it. Everyone starts out literally trying to give their work away, the hard part is that after it becomes your job it doesn't turn into 'work' along the way.
I'd say starting with an intention for a couple hour manip that lasts three days shows that it's not work. XD *gets an image of a vortex twister appearing on her screen and sucking her into the image to talk to the WIP*

this is, undeniably, one of my favorite pictures of all time. Its simplicity is just gorgeous, and I cant even belive how smoothly everythign transitions. The colors are calm, peaceful, yet the horse being so powerful but soft gives an amazing contrast I can only wish to achieve someday 
I can see myself coming back to this one over. and over. and over again.
