Firstly, I'd like to tell you that it isn't flash spots; the protective glass on the pictures is curved, reflecting the light from the candle.

Also, you were right. There is indeed a story. This serie was done as an assignement for college, in which we needed to express the "spirit" of a place in pictures.

I thought about my family's cottage, since it has quite an interesting history; it was first owned by a man who died from an unknown disease misdiagnosed as a cancer. It was found after his death that it was an infection transmitted by a wild rabbit he tamed at the cottage and kept as a pet.

It was then bought by monks who did a lot of renovation, blessed the place by placing religious medals pretty darn everywhere, and shortly afterwards sold it to my family for half it's value.

I chose to take pictures of stuff that belonged to the 3 owners; the bear belonged to the first one, the lamp to the monks, and the pictures are of my great-grandparents.

very cool story. i think you should add that to the artist comments of the three pieces, it makes a lot more sense as a series/story with the background of waht it means
