Description This is a small (5x1cm) genuine glass bullet I built inspired by Kevin Mowrers beautiful Aether Round from his fantastic Frahnknshtyne Project ---> see mowrerart.blogspot.com/

I thought, as Kevin Mowrer describes Aether as a Lifeforce/energy, which can be harvested and used, it might be possible, to use it for multiple purposes and probably, as energy can be usually converted into a different state of matter, also in a liquid form.

The idea was, that the liquid state would be the inert storing form of Aether and bullets filled with this liquid-aether releases their energy activated on impact in a massive burst, causing a lethal "overdose of life" when hitting living beings.
So it would be a deadly weapon with no material collateral damage.

In streetslang, it is also known as "paradise-shot", as the hit target experiences for a splitsecond the immense joy of pure life, before the organism collapses overwhelmed by this force, dying through shock.

I thought instead of always trying to find a more horrible, messy and painful way of killing, it would be nice for once following the philosophy, if you have to kill, do it as painless and comfortable as possible.
As the Joker said: if you have to go, go with a smile...

Those would be cool as pendants!

Jup.
But I have only a handful of these miniature flasks and didn't find more of these specifically.

Besides that, I doubt, that the whole bullet would be durable enough on long term to be used as a pendant. I don't want to offer items, that people would be disappointed after a few weeks.

True enough. But if you do ever find more you can use though, you got something you can make. : )

Except for the lack of time (got to find a source for that! ), still the durablity problem would prevail, even if I'd find more of them.

Same as the Aether Round.
Only the golden front cap is a small piece usually used for holding pearls, beads or something alike. The glass body is left unpainted and of course it is filled with Liquid Aether..

This kinda reminds me of the Hunter-Seeker from the dune novels.

Here's a pic of what it looks like. [link]
And here's the info about them. [link]

Yes, now as you mention it, I do see some similarities myself.
Cool.

I always liked the old DUNE movie because it had that anachronistic design.

Strikes me as similar to the Whale Oil rounds from Dishonored. But that aside, this is a really neat concept. Sounds almost like something that'd be used by France during the Great Terror in place of the guillotine, in some strange, high tech version of the Revolution. Very neat craftsmanship nonetheless.

Thank you for your interest.

I don't know the whale oil rounds, as I never played Dishonored yet.
However I can savely state that I couldn't have been influenced by them as I built my bullet actually way back in May 2011 and the game was released, if I'm not mistaken, this year.

Nevertheless there was a heavy inspiration for it as well as for the concept of the Liquid Aether as life energy.
Check on Kevin Mowrers fascinating Franknshtyne Project here: [link]

There you will find his Aether round of the Aether Rifle. My bullet is basically just an interpretation of it, although I even built a faithful 1:1 model of his Aether round after he was so pleased with my Liquid Aether bullet. Maybe I should upload a picture of that one too...

And definitly an interesting idea about the use of Liquid Aehter as offical state death sentence instead of the guillotine.

Thank you very much!

Yes, I liked the idea too. There is already enough senseless slaughter and splatter around.
Why not a having a happy death for a change..

Indeed.

I seek imortality by science.....but if I really had to die....I wish I could die with that.

Well, than good luck on that.
And don't forget your old friends when you've been succesful.

Thank you ^^

I just hope to succeed.

And I wouldn't forget my friends. I'd invite them on the project, if it worked......and carry on their memory though the ages if they did not wished to follow me ^^

(Oh yeah.....a lifetime isen't enought for any mad scientist's work. For instance, I'd love to make your weapons funtional to non lethal levels ^^)

Well, some of them will get more functional like the planned gatling and the Froggy update.
I'm still a beginner in the art of propmaking and I'm sure there will be much more fency, when my skills (hopefully) evolve further.
