Description
These are concept sketches that i did a while ago. I was trying to decide what kind of fighting style my character (Divine Ocelot) should have. I liked the styles that they used in movies-- especially in Transporter (good action, bad storyline). I wasn't sure what style JLo was using in "Enough", but it was tight. (she beat the sh!t of her husband)I would appreciate it if anybody could tell me what style she used in "Enough".

just for info.
the actor from "The Transporter" is a master-class kickboxer.
So the art he uses would probably be kickboxing with some pure imrovisation in grappling.

Thy style J Lo used in "enough" was from the Krav MaGaa art. Its a composit style of multiple arts created by a Jewish master matrial artist who upon returning to Israel joined the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) and now it is used to train the soldiers; it is also becoming popular here in the states - I've taken classes myself.

Oh, please!
At least they could have teach you the right spelling. It's "KravMaga" and it means "contact combat" or "close combat".
No offense.
The Jewish master was Imrich "imi" Lichtenfeld, and he came from Bratislava (SK), that's in central-east Europe.
And he practised boxing and greco-roman wrestling.

"At least they could have teach you the right spelling." Uhm, Yeah - you need a mirror friend.
And thank you for the not so kind but certainly informative reply.

Great picture, I am fairly sure the style she used is Krav Maga, the style employed by the Israeli defence forces.

glad you decided to upload this from your webpage to DA. If I'd actually watched "enough" I'd probably be able to tell you the style.

These are great. I'm gonna have to check out if you can draw faces though. *pokes* Reminds me of the 'How to Draw Manga' books cuz they always did positions like this.
