You slowly walked down the street, your feet aching from the previous activities you had done. You had been invited to a party at one of your fellow seniors house and decided to go. Which wasn't that bad but you didn't count on your parents taking your car and you having to walk to your friends house. The bottom of your heel was hurting like hell and you knew they were going to feel a lot worse when you got home. If you got home, that was. You didn't like the fact that you had to walk home during the nighttime. The pocket knife that you had provided you some protection but, would that be enough to really hurt someone? Of course not. You started to pick up the pace, longing to get to the place you felt the most secure. "Fuck!" You muttered in pain and winced as you slowed back down. Your feet would not let you walk any faster and you groaned softly. "I shouldn't have danced so much." You shook your head and decided to sit down on the curb, just for a minute or two. Your legs started to throb once you sat and you rubbed them as if it could help. You closed your (e/c) eyes shut and sighed as you relaxed. You contemplated laying back on the sidewalk but fought against it, realizing it was a bad idea.
A pair of footsteps approaching you made you open your eyes quickly. Your head snapped to the left to see a figure approaching you. Instantaneously, you got to your feet and reached into your jean pocket. You took steps back as the figure moved to you. "Who's there?" You called out, gripping the pocket knife. You got no response from the figure, it only moved forward. Suddenly, it lunged at you, knocking you to the concrete. The air left your lungs and your head ached as you hit the ground. Your vision was hazy for a moment, not allowing you to see who had attacked you. You wished your vision stayed hazy. The man was barely passable as human; he had unblinking eyes rimmed with black, his skin was pale white and looked leathery. His black hair was tangle and some parts clung to his face by something of a red color. The worst part about his features was the ear to ear smile carved in his face. Your (e/c) eyes widened and he chuckled darkly. You struggled against him as he held you down. "Let me go." You shouted out. The man chuckled again. "Sorry. You should really go to sleep right now." He held up a knife stained with dried blood. You opened your mouth to scream for help but were cut off when the man was picked up off of you. You quickly stood up and looked at the man, then at what was holding the man in the air. That thing was inhuman. It was tall, so very tall and thin. It wore a black suit which contrasted with its pale skin. But it looked so familiar to you. You shivered as you watched the creature toss the man against a tree. You gasped softly before you backed away. The creature turned its blank face toward you and you took hurried steps back. The thing reached his hand out to you as if saying "wait. Dont be afraid." You shook your head and turned around, ready to bolt home. However, you felt a sharp pain in your head and fainted, almost collapsing on the ground had it not been for the tentacle holding on to your waist.

"Pinkie promise me you'll visit me?" You held up your pinkie and looked up at him hopefully. He squatted down and held out his pinkie, a quiet chuckle shaking his body. "I pinkie promise I will."

You woke up from the dream. No. It wasn't a dream. You remembered that night. Halloween. That creature was there. What was his name again? You sat up, rubbing your head and looked around. You were in your room, the (f/c) walls been a comforting sight. There was no light coming from the window, showing you it was still nighttime. "Ugh. How long was I out?" You muttered to yourself. "About an hour" a man answered. You jumped at the voice and looked around. In the corner of your room, you saw a figure sitting down and hunched over, avoiding your ceiling. It was the creature you had seen earlier. You stumbled out of your bed and looked upon the thing with curiosity. "What... are you?" You softly asked. "I am the Slenderman." He responded, the voice coming out gently, as if he was talking to a child. You nodded slowly, still wary of him although the name and his image seemed so familiar. "Why'd you take me home? Why'd you save me from that other man?" You questioned. Slenderman sighed. "I couldn't let Jeff kill someone like you. And you were about to run away. I had to knock you out before you hurt yourself anymore and so you couldn't let anyone know of us." He spoke, although it was vague. "Someone like me?" You tilted your head at him and he chuckled.
"My little (y/n). You've grown up so much. Its been what? Ten years now." Your eyes widened, realizing who he was. He had saved you on Halloween night when you were seven. "It... it is you." You smiled at your old savior. He came back to visit you, just like he promised. "What took you so long?" You softly asked, a mix of happiness and sadness inside you. Slender moved toward you, pulling you into a hug. "I lost track of the time." He merely replied, not going into detail. "How? Did you... did you forget about me?" Your voice was muffled by his suit but he could still tell it was hurt sounding. "I could never forget about you. You've stayed in my mind these years. I always see that little seven year old and the way you made me pinkie promise I'd visit you." He took one of your (s/c) hands and wrapped his pinkie around yours. You shakily wrapped your pinkie around his and nodded. "You still remembered that." You choked out, the hazy memory replaying in your mind. You tightly hugged Slender back, tearing up. "Its nice to see you again. Please stay with me longer. I want to have more memories of you." "I pinkie promise you that ill be here longer. You won't have to worry."
