Description
As previously stated, had very kindly given me a sketch of AniMage during my visit to Georgia.I decided to ink it, despity my apparent crackwhore like inking skills. Scarier is the fact I just felt like it and inked the thing using ONE COPIC 0.05 multiliner. There is no white out on this image. Which I should have used -.-;;;. Inked on Deleter's B4 Comic book paper.
I always had the utmost respect for comic book inkers btw. They play second fiddle to the penciller. I mean Jim Lee's art looks allright, but think about the work Scott Williams puts into inking it. In fact when I went to the Art Institute, they told me the story of a lot pencillers would just leave the inkers with literal stick figures and the inkers would draw everything out. But of course we see PENCILLER and give them all the credit.
It's facinating after doing this picture on how you have to determine and interpret what's a real line and what's a stray line or guideline and not accidentally ink it. I'm sure I hit quite a few in doing this but I'm not saying where XD. So again, inkers of the comic world I LOVE YOU. Inking is incredibly hard work!
Original sketch done by
Inks by (uh ME duh!)
AniMage is property of (yea ME)
Edit: I personally have no problems with people Coloring AniMage BUT since the original sketch is 's you might want to wait until you start publically displaying it (private use is your deal) until it's alright with her!
And I apologize for the multiple uploads. The image is driving me crazy on various computers. It's bright on some and dark and dirty on others.

GOOD GOD! Insane amount of detail, reminds me of a pic I drew from the cover art of a Serial Experiments Lain VHS Tape....
All with a 005 Sakura Micron.... it took me about 5 hours (because I did the *entire* thing in just 005, including the shadows with cross-hatching)
Needless to say, bravo.

Well, I certainly don't recommend it, but I also used comic paper to help keep the lines smooth. Otherwise this would come out horrid because of my inking skills.

haha maybe it was a fluke, but yeah, its not so much different than the original sketch she gave me. Bristol works really well as well.

thank you. I still think they're messy but It was a good time to learn how to use Copic Multiliners and comic paper (I've used comic paper in the past however)

This is what i'm in love with line drawings, i don't know y but i always loved using graphite and ink. Love color too but hate using it, i like to look and say wow, and ur gallery does that. Great use of color in everything. I love this one also so again, Great job!

I'm very glad you are enjoying my works. Yes, I'm learning that being overly complex isn't the end all to everything and sometimes you have to enjoy artwork at the most simple and basic forms such as pencil and inks.
Thank you very much again

I love how you can make out the areolas in the full-view. I think you've hit on the absolute BEST incentive for full-viewing a deviation EVER!
The folds on her wing-arms look like fabric. Like a Animage plushie? :3 I also like how in both drawings, your style of drawing overpowers Rose's work. Let THAT be a lesson to all those cocky kids that call all inkers TRACERS.
Inkers PWN UR CHIT 4 FREE, PUNKS.

This is absolutely gorgeous. The both of you did a wonderful job. I'm so curious about your inking process though. Do you normally use white out on your inked pictures, and if so, how do you make it look like there ISN'T white out? I'm one of those people where if I make a mistake during inking, I swear, and then try and hide it by turning the mistake into a huge ugly thick line. Oh, and someone else asked about colouring. Do you mind if I also try my hand at colouring her? AniMage is so bloody hot. I need to get off my butt and actually do a pencil crayon or marker coloured picture of her. With lots of cleavage.

There are thick ugly lines in there LOL. But that's why I think this time I went with a Copic Multiliner that was so incredibly thin (If you've ever seen a .05 pen it's really thin!), if I thickened it it won't be as ugly. I can't use microns or other pens for shit. I tend to use brush pens as well from Copics, but in terms of Brands this is the only tech pen I think I can swear by because of it's smoothness and I noticed Microns always have some bizzare split/cracking problem.
There is actually NO white out in there. I end up starting over if there's mistakes that bug me enough. - Well actually I lied there is ONE spot where there is white out, but you can't see it because I took it out in photoshop...and it actually didn't scan anyways. The spot where the wing is coming forward. I forgot that the leg wasn't going to be very visible.
Now if I do white out a piece I usually make a photocopy of it on a new piece of paper. The Nagash and Shifuu reworked piece has white out on the original sheet. I just simply made a new photocopy. As Far as doing that on Bristol...or other paper..pain in da ass. I try not to correct lines until after I colored the area because if you do it before it leave a nasty mess.
Please do draw AniMage. I want to make her a Super Popular Character on Deviantart...it would just kick ass XD
