Description
"The Driver 2013" Acrylic and Paint markers on a 40x30" Canvas.I first painted a version of this piece a few years back. I don't normally re-paint old pieces, but when I was asked to do this piece again as a commission I agreed as long as they weren't expecting an exact copy. The main reason for revisiting this piece again is because it's an approach I feel I could continue to develop in the future. Be good to hear your thoughts on the style of this painting.

This is very interesting to look at, I love the slight abstract and surreal feel of it!
Your color choices are amazing as well

IF I ever agreed to teach art ~fortunately not a great likelihood ~ I would teach students
(interested in some degree of realism) to NOT reach for the 'CORRECT' COLOR, but instead
reach for the CORRECT VALUE. You seemingly have mastered this idea. It's those
lights and darks that enable to eye to easily identify the subject. As far as the newness of this
style, I would not be in a position or disposition to comment. I like it. Period.
