Coloured pencils on black A4 180gsm paper.

I don't seem to do things by halves anymore! Not only is this the first time I've used black paper, it's only the third time I've use coloured pencils, and I go and pick an image with two different coloured light sources! That said, I've enjoyed drawing this so much. Although there was the pressure of learning and adapting to how the colours perform on black paper, I also didn't want to let Nikita down and produce something that was a pile of crap!

The original image is Workout Forever by *DIVASOFT For those not familiar with *DIVASOFT and the work of Nikita, I strongly urge you to visit his page. He is a brilliant photographer and creates the kind of work that I love, mainly featuring the play of light and shade on well toned male figures.

I'm extremely grateful (and honoured) that he has allowed me to use some of his images. In fact, I could draw most of his images - but then I wouldn't have anything to sell!!!

Overall, I'm quite pleased with the way this has turned out.

Whilst I don't normally mind people using my images for manipulations etc, on this occasion I must withdraw that permission as I don't own the copyright for the original image that this work was based on.
