Description
Skulls are a recurring theme in a lot of my original works, I don't know why, they just are. Anyway, I was looking at ways I could combine skulls with aspects of the living world and I came up with an image of a sort of tentacled skull, which was eventually refined into the work you see here.

The animal itself is clearly a cephalopod, just not any particular one. There's a bit of a blend of octopus, squid and nautilus here.

You'll also notice a change in style from my other works. It's because this is a much more recent work (done early this year).
