Description
Electricity. It's everywhere. But when Electricity becomes the new drug, and humans replace their body parts with machinery to go higher, longer, faster- Nature is pushed to the side. But she still watches over her children as they pollute her, dirtying her, filling her lungs with carcinogens. She watches and waits, and remembers when birds still flew in the sky.Edit: Made some changes to the fog- lowered the opacity. Increased contrast and texture on her skin as well as pumped up the glow on her hair.
Little things- but they bugged me!

Wow, this one made me take a closer look. At first, I thought it was just a neat image in her hair, but upon closer inspection, it really conveys what you intended. The background city depicts a gloomy pollution-filled metropolis. It does not look like a place anyone would want to live.
The young woman in the foreground represents nature, her bare skin expresses fragility, honesty, and purity. She gazes down at a small white feather resting on a rusted bar. I like how the feather glows with an light of its own. The use of white also shows its purity while attracting the viewer's attention.
Her hair blooms out behind her, reflecting her wish for a cleaner, more pure world where birds are happy to fly. The clean city image is barely visible, like a mirage.
The choice of color for her hair is clever - it is electric. It reminds us that the electricity we produce comes from nature itself - whether it be the water, sun, or wind. Really, we are very dependent on nature and need to take better care of it.
Great job on this! I especially like the reflection of light on her skin and the bar. Your expressions of the polluted and the clean cities are perfect.

Oh WOW! Thanks so much! You've basically listed ALL the symbolism I have in there! It's so rewarding when someone GETS all those little innuendo in your painting....

Right on! I admit, I had to think about the hair for a while and wonder why it represented electricity and attached to her.
Great job & keep up the excellent work!

LOL. Well it's good that it took a moment to think about it. If it was too easy to figure out I think it'd be boring!
Thanks!

This has plenty of vision and poetic interpretation. It makes me think of dreams for a brighter future and a healthier tomorrow Transforming her hair into a panorama is definitely an original take, and I like the textures of the strands along the edges. Great contrast against the polluted city too

The background is looking so awesome with how everything blends in together very smoothly. It all just fits so well. I was kind of confused by the thumbnail to be honest, but after seeing the larger picture it's really clear and well made. You've earned the praise you seem to have gotten. Way to go.

Hahah I could totally see how the thumbnail would be confusing. To be honest, it would ideally be MASSIVE so you could get the entire picture. There's just a lot of little things. Thanks so much for the comment!! And such an awesome one at that!

Clouds. I can imagine humanity taking shelter underground, as the world above changes and mutating in strange and beautiful ways, and some humans returning to the surface...
