Description
An illustration of one of the characters in my webcomic! She's much older in the webcomic, but this is her in her youth. She's got a very interesting past.
In the comic she's the unofficial guardian of my MC. She cares for them from afar and helps them be more or less self-sufficient. But she does so quietly, because supporting those two siblings is not a popular position to be in their town...
It was originally just a sketch but I got carried away again. :/ Oh well. It's good lighting practice.

Very cool - I like how the light glows off her hair and the stray hairs. She seems to have an aura of kindness about her. Her body pose with the one hand outstretched gives an impression that she is a warm person and welcoming. The only changes I would suggest would be to adjust her ring finger on her right hand (the one on her hip) - it looks a little shorter than the others, and the iris in her left eye looks slightly larger than the right - perhaps it's intentional? Even still, with how her face is posed she seems to have a bit of a tough don't-mess-with-me attitude.
I like the simplicity of the background - it doesn't detract from the main subject but gives us an idea of where she is. I also love the use of the soft pencil lines, it gives a nice impression of traditional art. Overall, this makes me want to find out more about her history. Aw thanks for the care and crit! I see that thing with the finger as well- thanks for pointing it out! I see the eye as well. Hm. I had intended that eye to be a little bigger, but not the pupil to be so.Ā

Ah, cool a new character, I'm liking how much it seems you've thought out her past and made it relevant to her character too.
It turned out great for a sketch that got carried away though. ^^ The lighting is quite nice, and you're pretty good with backgrounds really.
