Description
Guys, something huge is going on in Istanbul right now. There was a peaceful rebellion planned for a few days ago. But that rebellion has been shot at, tear gassed, and hit with high-powered water guns that can blow holes in your skin.Even those innocent of rebellion have been locked in the underground subway routes with tear gas, there are even tweets on Twitter from those crying to get out as they choke.
People have died from this, and Turkey's media has a blackout order on it. According to Allegiance Musical "Social media was said to have been the galvanizing force behind the uprisings in places like Iran and Egypt, and so it is no surprise that the Turkish government is now seeking to silence platforms such as Facebook and Twitter."
Spread the word to all the media outlets you can, Turkey cannot herd their people like sheep!

Oh my gosh you have no idea how happy it makes me to hear that... This is something I feel really strongly about, and it's the first time that I feel like I had the skill to do something to do it justice... I was so worried that it wouldn't be touching at all and would just look stupid since it's something I've not done much of in the past.
I'm actually tearing up, thank you...

I must honestly say I didn't know this was going on. This sounds terrible and unfair from what I read. Corruption like this is pretty common it seem. Even here things like this happen. =/
I'll have to look into this more, thanks for the info and good job expressing it through your art so quickly.

I'm glad I could bring it to someone's attention. Since there is a media blackout, it's just not been given the coverage there needs to be to make this stop. It's just horrifying.
You're welcome, and thanks. Actually I worked five hours straight on this after I talked to a girl from Istanbul who is there now...

Your awareness is commendable as well as your desire to to bring more attention to issues like this. It really is a big problem when governments and societies become this way.
I can see why you knew of the situation so quickly, knowing someone from right there. No need to thank me though, let us just never support the abuse of power like this.

Oh no I don't know her IRL. I posted something on twitter to make more people aware, and she responded thanking me for my help.
But yes, let's not support this horrible abuse of power.

Oh, I thought it was a friend of yours that you have known from around the world for some time. However you did learn of it, it's a good thing you did. Having the will to just recognize it and speak out about it is a good start, don't ever be discouraged from doing so.
