Description
A commission I did for Ricky. I am extremely satisfied with how it turned out! The background and rendering are better than anything I've done before!Time taken: about two months (on and off)
Program: Photoshop CC and Paint Tool Sai.

Hah I can with graphite and oil paints but not digitally. Well, not more than the Rosalina painting I posted here. That's as realistic as I get rn lol.

is it the one you have with greyscale? o.o if it's that then you've gotten pretty good!!
uhh doing realism on traditional is pretty difficult too...:/ never worked either with oils or graphite tho x3

Nah but the one I was talking about is too small here to see lol since it's a commission. Besides now that I look at it, I've improved a lot since then lol.
Art school is brutal, but they're thorough! I had to learn lol.

Well I'm going to a school with a great art dept. Not technically an "art school". But as a result I don't have to start my career already owing money. So that's nice.

I study painting, drawing, photography, and a lot of other things. It's pretty varied actually. I'm concentrating in printmaking.

Thanks! I do agree about them not exactly fitting together perspective wise. I added the background in after I'd already finished the character so it turned out a little different. Something to work on in the future.
I'm finding backgrounds easier, quicker, and more fun to draw lately.

Wow. It looks like you really have taken your art to a new level here, the background really is something amazing with the detail and sharpness, I don't know how you but it's truly impressive. ^^ I love the lighting and the shadow in general. Looks very ominous and realistic in a way.
