Artaith is a stand-in for myself. I guess you could say 'fursona', but not entirely, because her personality and even appearance could be different depending on what Universe she was being used in. This was originally uploaded in 2010, and I have since decided that Artaith will now remain her own entity separate from myself, and remain in Star Wars fanon only. My current 'fursona' is still a Eurasian wolf with her color scheme, as that is my real hair coloring. But other than that, Artaith ferch Rhydian is her own identity now, though I still relate to her strongly in many ways.

Artaith uses the traditional Welsh patronymic system for names. "Artaith" being her given, "ferch" being the name all women carry, and "Rhydian" being her father's first name.

Artaith's father was a Master Jedi who left the Jedi Order to be with a she-wolf he had fallen in love with. Artaith was their only child together, and Rhydian passed away when Artaith was about 5 years old. Even at such a young age, she decided to follow in her beloved father's footsteps, and had one of her half-brothers make the long journey with her to Coruscant to set her before the Council, where she was welcomed. Studious and often uptight, she managed to pass The Trials at the young age of 16. By the age of 17 she already had her first padawan, Duzel the ornery rat youngling that the Council couldn't wait to foist upon someone. Artaith would also have a short-lived affair with Qui-Gon Jinn ( also anthropomorphized for this fanon ) until his death.

Anyway, old ref sheet from 2010. There have been a few changes since then ( for one, the blond in her hair doesn't look so neon yellow ), her legs are a little more prominently digigrade, and her weight is actually a bit less. She isn't a waif, but her mental strength is definitely mind over matter, and I wanted to emphasize that by making her a little smaller in size.
