Flase memory thing? Been used a few times in fictions... there is also the Total Recall, he has diff sets of memories implanted.

mandella effect is a quantum anomaly where reality shifts and we are left with traces of an alternate reality.
aka glitch in the matrix. Mandella effect is in a way,
everyone remembers you wore a red shirt today, but suddenly a large group , even photo evidence says you wore a black shirt.
people remembering someone died and seeing the funeral yet it never happened. sorta thing.
another example is that there is an island near australia that is not on any map yet many remember it existed,
and one movie shows this island. in my case I;ve had it happen where I write down a date and time,
and then like today, all I wrote says a different time. some say it could just be a shift in our memories
as we grow older.

Hmmm... I never really gave much thought to it before even though we all tend to get confused as we are so sure we did something one way but appears another... but we all tend to put it down to being just wrong about the whole thing.

oh but I mean using the scifi element of it being a lie covered up of reality changing
and only a few notice. some stories say that those who notice are erased from
the time line. It's linked with time travel and the multyverse more than false memory.
in reality the fact remains that it is forgetful, or as you said, a false memory,( ghost in th eshell, wolverine origins the comicbook
where logan has an entire life of false memories regarding a race like him and a few other mutantsΒ who lived for millenia)Β which happens
when we forget and our mind, the way memory works, reconstructs things in a way we recognize,
some test show human memory breaks down after a few years and we remember less details so
the mind adds more details to compensate and we recreate a lie we think is true.
traumas tend to become scarier or at times forgotten and buried.

yup. I have a recollection of several creators who loved the movie but when finished it was a mess
and fans hated it. Editing can kill a movie. I still get upset at how entitled Avengers fans were.
problem with some established cannon things is how people dont get how Widow wasily coudl date Hulk,
or they complained about her on and on. it's not like they suddenly made her a black lesbian midget.
or was revealed to have been a dude all along. I hate that cuz that is pandering. They did a competent job,
if anything I wouldve liked Ultron to have been Pym's doing originaly as Tony continied teh work and in antman 2 he has to take responsibility
and answer to Tony. still it made sense ti make Tony the center of it all. tho in the comics Ultron was created by Hank pym,
and Vision came from the future and was created from the human Torch's altered body using , I forgot whose brain waves.
which was a bit convoluted considering they omited Hank Pym when he shouldve been on the team originaly before cap was in it.
Cap was brought to their attention by Namor who flung him into the sea where the avengers happened to be. they saw the man in teh ice, thawed him out and realized he was cap.
