I knew soneone with Aspergers at school last year. He was brilliant with coding stuff, but he was more abnoxious than shy (and the weird cheese obsesion...)

While I've heard of people relating Aspergers to being shy I'm very outgoing, I have Aspergers btw. People with Aspergers tend to obsess over things and generally be weird as it is a behavioral disorder, it's unfortunate since most people with it ARE brilliantly smart, I'm lucky to have high functioning Aspergers which I'm assuming is the reason why I'm not shy despite my disorder.

yeah. It does depend case by case I think.
This guy also had a few other things going on as well. He had a bit of Milti-personality disorder going on (or maybe he just did it for fun idk XD)
So he was oftentimes outgoing one moment and then super shy the next.
Although I think in Art's case his anxiety or unwillingness to talk might be related to the reason he's an orphan (I haven't read the entire outline of the story Paco posted somewhere because I wanted to be surprised as the comic comes out.)
