Only 2 pages are muddy. Maybe the ones with the bad memories. Or maybe his diarry has an important role. First diarry lost, that could lead to leaving the dark past behind completely and a new diarry, if given, bought or taken, could mean starting over. Writing down new and better memories.

Knowing Art it would be embarassing for him if he forgot to pick up that diary and someone took it before him. I wonder what would he do in this kind of situation .
