My piece for the first prize winner in the judges section of the 's Prince Design Sheet Contest. Wow, that was a mouthful. This is 's OC Edith lorenzolivrieri.deviantart.com… from his in-progress comic "Killers on High Heels" lorenzolivrieri.deviantart.com… . This was a lot of fun to do both because the character is so visually interesting and because I adore the era the story is set in. It was a bit of a challenge but I enjoyed revisiting doing a black and white piece.I apologize for the insanely long waiting time you went through for this piece, Lorenzo. But I really hope you enjoy it anyway. Congratulations once again on your much deserved win!

The background is an amazing touch, because you definitely enunciated the Art Deco feel with the architectural lines and classic patterns. It's truly gorgeous! BRAVO!!

You managed to portray her perfectly, and all the jewelry and the little details add up to the character's personality and general wibe. The background fits really well, and the grey scale you used makes everything look even more fascinating.
The more I look at it, the more I find new details that I love; like, the gun is really well made and I like the fact that it's a little hidden in the shadow.
Don't worry about the wait, you took your time with it and it was totally worth it!

It's great to know you're happy with the whole black and white thing. There were a few times I wondered if it was a good idea or not while I was making it.
