I have been wanting to this meme for a long time. When it comes to characters, there’s a chance I will like or dislike them. In this case and I’m sure most of you will hate the characters of my choosing but I just happen to like these characters despite mostly being hated.

Here are my picks:

#10 Yuki Cross (Vampire Knight)
Most people compare her to Bella Swan from the Twilight series. She mostly hated because most people say that she’s dumb, useless, and can’t decide what to do. While not badass as other heroines I can think of, there was just something about her that I liked. She surprised me when I learned more about her in season 2. Overall, while not a strong character, I still like her.

#9 Mudflap & Skids (Transformers Revenge of the Fallen)
Mostly hated for being downright stupid, the twins also try way to hard being jokers in a different way. While I’ll also admit that their jokes can be off, the twins were okay, especially when something was done to settle them down (in a funny way). Case of point, in one scene, Bumblebee grabbed them and hit their heads just to shut them up. And you got to admit, it was also fun seeing them take on Devastator even though the twins didn’t destroy him. These guys are not the perfect and funniest duo, but they were okay for me.

#8 Seryu Ubiquitous (Akame Ga Kill)
Okay. For those of you who downright hate her, I don’t blame you. I mean the girl is insane and her view of “Justice” is really out of place. And I’ll admit it was messed up when she killed Sheele (how did she get that gun in her mouth anyway?). Yet she was still one of my favorite villains from the anime along with Esdeath and Kurome and the various weapons she uses are cool at times (although most can be overboard). Also, and I’m sure most of you would agree with me on this, it was satisfying when she was killed by Mine.

#7 Raki (Claymore)
His mostly hated for being annoying, a whiner, and useless. Raki is not perfect (although I’ll admit he was off at the end of the anime when he lost hope, but it was a small moment), but he was a good ally to Clare when she saved him from his brother, who was a Yoma. He has also started practicing swordsmanship. I was actually impressed when he fought against Ophelia, even though the outcome was inevitable. To me, he just an okay guy.

#6 Claude Faustus (Black Butler 2)
He stole Ciel’s soul and tries to take him away from Sebastian. It’s no wonder why most people hate him. Yet, to me, he was a better villain than the first one in Season 1. As expected, his a butler that knows his stuff and is impressive at times. Although the scene where he was tap dancing is kind of iffy (not that it's bad mind you). Also for some reason he reminds me of Shockwave from Transformers. He’s a cool butler and a dangerous one. But not a cool as Sebastian who is simple one, well, you know.

#5 Black Star (Soul Eater)
There have been mixed sayings about him. On one hand, he’s the most hated character in the anime. On the other hand, he’s a cool character. The reason why he’s hated is because, well, he’s an idiot and brags a lot. However I actually like the guy. He kicks ass and his ninja skills are impressive at times. Don’t get me wrong, he’s no Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden). Mostly because he is never quiet when being sneaky. Also, I know what I said that I don’t like braggers, but in his case, I was okay with it and it funny to see him get in trouble because of it. Despite that, he cares for his allies and is a pretty strong character.

#4 Rebecca Hawkins (Yugioh)
I think most people hate her because of her first appearance (even though it was a misunderstanding) and she claims to be Yugi’s “boyfriend”. Aside her first appearance (didn’t bother me as much), I still liked her and she was pretty smart, even though she’s mostly underestimated. Her best moment is her duel against Vivian. It was a pretty fun duel. While not at the same level as Akiza (Yugioh 5D’s), I still liked her. She was good.

#3 Raynare (High School DxD)
I’m sure she’s mixed by most but there are reasons why she hated. She killed Issei before he was reborn as a Devil and took Asia’s Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing, resulting in Asia’s death. You might even say she was like the Fallen Angel version of Seryu (but she’s not that hateable). Still she was a powerful enemy and was pretty dangerous. I guess you can say like dangerous villainess and she was one of them. Other examples: Esdeath (Akame Ga Kill) and Suigintou (Rozen Maiden). Definitely a good villain and a messed up one of the anime.

#2 The Fallen (Transformers Revenge of the Fallen)
He’s probably mixed but his overshadowed because of two things: One: the movie was crap by many (I liked the movie, but that’s just me). And Two: he didn’t have much screen time. Yeah that’s definitely messed up there for a main villain. On the other hand, Michael Bay himself didn’t like the character much. Despite that however, I really liked the Fallen. He was just one of those Big Bad type characters. His telekinetic powers were also fun to see. I still like the showdown between him, along with Megatron, and Optimus. Definitely one of my favorite villains.

#1 Zilla (Godzilla 1998/TriStar Pictures Film)
While Zilla has gain popularity of the years in his own character, many still disapprove him since his 1998 film appearance. TriStar though it would be a good idea to redesign him. That and talking away most of his abilities was not a good move. Toho dislike him so much, that they killed him off fast in his fight against Godzilla in Final Wars. Despite that and while the movie (1998 film) itself isn’t perfect, Zilla was awesome. However the cartoon version from Godzilla the Series is the one I like more. While not a perfect reincarnation of the King of the Monsters himself, Zilla is one of my favorite monsters aside well-known monsters from Toho. Don’t get me wrong; when it comes to giant monsters, Godzilla is number 1.

If you actually hate these characters, that fine. This is just my opinion.
