It is. But I really hope it's just temporal. That there will be some ridiculous limit when people realize how stupid this all got and invent some laws or something to limit those obsessions.

There is a very funny child cartoon in Russia about telegraphs that exactly describes this whole thing, despite the fact it was made in 2004, when the smartphones barely made their entrance in the world. The story is that the main characters find out about the telegraph as a way to communicate on a distance. They all get addicted really fast, sending each other messages all day long, sitting at home. Then one of the telegraphs broke down and one character gets cut out. Desperate and lonely, he goes to the "wise character" of the group, who didn't yet got involved in the hype. To save the community, the wise character goes all Zorro and burns all the telegraphs during the night. In the end everyone is first very devastated, but they slowly go back to normal. 

It always amazes me how right that cartoon was about the future. I just hope their ending is a prophecy as well. Just like the movie "The Surrogates" which is also very similar to the concept.

A very good idea, with the cartoon!

It's strange but I've had from the start a cell phone, but I have always used it only for calling. Now I have for a long time a smartphone with 1000 functions and use only one function, the phone. I work a lot on the computer, but when I'm with people, I want to talk to them. Am I weird? Am I too old? Or are all the other crazy?  

I do not know, but as an artist, I am also annalist and so I create images from what I see.

I don't have a smartphone. Mostly out of principle, because it's harder nowadays to buy a normal phone than to get a fancy abbo and a free smartphone with it. Partly my decision is based on my paranoia (I don't need another complicated operating system in my phone too), partly because I'm an easy addict. It's enough I'm glued to my computer and DAZ, I don't need another device to pull me inside 24-7. When I'm on a bus station I rather look around. And everyone else are watching their phone. On the upside: you can always tell decent people. They read books instead of checking their phones.

nö    Ich arbeite mit 3D Studio Max mit dem Iray Renderer von Nvidia.

Ich glaube der kommt auch für dein Programm bald, bin aber nicht ganz sicher
Hast du die Menschen aus Poser exportiert/importiert ?

Schau dir doch meine Arbeiten mal an

Hallo Bernd,

aha! Nö Iray für Cinema gibts schon länger. Damit arbeite ich aber nicht, das dauert mir von den Renderzeiten her zu lange. Da bevorzuge ich Arnold oder Furryball.

Die Figuren sind bei mir immer in DAZ oder Poser hergestellt und positioniert und werden danach in C4D importiert. Ich könnte das auch in Cinema direkt machen, aber es geht in DAZ einfach schneller und problemloser. Ist wohl auch ne Gewöhnungsache.  

Hab auf deiner Seite schon geguckt und da gibt es einen Ring, den finde ich echt faszinierend!

das iray was du schon lange hast,
hat nichts mit dem neuen iray von nvivia (programmierer= lightworks) zu tun.
Das ist locker im Echtzeitrendering 10 mal schneller und im Produktion Rendering noch 4-5 mal schneller !!
So weit ich weiss gibt es das neue iray auch für den Poser
Muss mir auch bald mal Poser kaufen die Qualität der Figuren ist ja der Hammer !

Hi Bernd, ne das wusste ich nicht! Aber ich bin eigentlich mit der Qualität meiner Render-Engines sehr zufrieden und mir reicht das auch erst einmal. 

Guck dir doch erst einmal DAZ an. Ich hab Poser zwar auch, arbeite aber doch hauptsächlich mit DAZ und das ist immerhin kostenlos.

Die Figuren sind mitunter doch recht unterschiedlich in der Qualität, auch abhängig von der Generation ob Genesis 1, 2 oder 3. Ich arbeite meistens mit V4 oder M4, für die habe ich die meisten Morphing Möglichkeiten. Allerdings bearbeite ich in Cinema grundsätzlich die Texturen oder Meshs, grösstenteils dann noch mit Displacement-Maps oder Subsurface Scattering. Unbearbeitete Figuren gibt es in meinen Bildern kaum.
