Nice work! I used to use a woodburner on lichens like these when I was a kid. I like the smell of them. One of my sister's friends collects huge lichens in the rainforests of the west coast...Oregon up to Alaska. She does some beautiful woodburned scenes on those 'monster' lichens. Some of them are a good 20 to 24 inches across, though most are smaller. They make a neat 'canvas' for artwork..

Every 4th of July, they have what is called "Art in the Park" across the river in Mandan, as part of their Rodeo Days over the 4th. There are artists and crafts people that come from all over to display their work over the 3-4 days running up to the 4th with its championship rounds of the rodeo and a grand parade. It's quite impressive. My sisters and brothers get involved clowning for the parade. I have a few pix of them in my gallery in their outfits. I would have joined them this year, but I ended up breaking my hip and spent the 4th in the hospital.
Then, later in the summer, Bismarck has a similar one on the capitol grounds which also includes music and more food with several hundred booths. And, in the fall, more crafters with the combination Fall Festival and the Pow Wow at the United Tribes, with tribal representatives from all over the US and Canada. There were some from Peru and Mexico this last year, as well.

Yup, I could have done without the break....it's a pain near you know where....LOL The craft shows are pretty big around here.
The Lewis and Clark bicentennial also was a big draw for the celebrations this last year and I'm sure this upcoming year's celebrations. The Rodeo is always a huge draw, which has been held for about 128 years now.

Now that i've seen all of them, i only can say that you've made an excellent job. They are all beautiful, and the guy that have ordered this comission must be very happy with the final result, isn' t he? After this one, there will be many more comissions.
