me: but i'm SLEEPY ;_;idea: draw me now, or I'll keep poking you and singing Lollipop!
me: ...groan.
While getting to sleep, on the bus, during a conference, on the potty... whenever, wherever, when Ideas spot you, they just won't leave you alone
XD
This is for everyone who at least once in their life woke up in the middle of the night with the URGE of drawing, writing, dancing, reading or whatever X3 I'm sure you've all experienced that

and is anoying too when you really need to do one thing and you try it honestly but somehow you are kinda in the mood of doing another stuff, and usually in that mood you allways do an amazing other stuff xD, yesterday i was trying to color but somehow i couldnt at all, becaus i was aparently in the mood of draw and i got to satisfy that before restart to color a job xD, kinda anoying ...

ah, that's the worst! actually i came up with the idea for this comic because I had another idea that kept me waken for several nights, and when I was finished with this comic I hadn't the slightest idea of what the first idea was about! XD arrgh

Replace "trying to sleep" with "trying to work" and this is a day at the office for me. Very cute comic of a problem I think most artists experience at some point or another. XD

I know what you mean. Unfortunately, I rarely ever get myself up to draw them and by morning either the idea has vanished or at least has lost so much to sleep that I don't remember half of the details I had the night before .__.'

And it's the same for me as probalby many others, that some of the best ideas comes to mind around the later hours OR it magically looks better than usual.

Uh...not really. I don't know much about drawing, I'm photography and writing.
Well...I might know, a bit...I usually only show pictures of myself that are realistic, not the ones that make me "OMFG SEXY", as one of my exes put it. You can do a hell of a lot with the right lighting and clothing.

I once heard a lecture on inspiration. The lady talked about this writer who always had to write down an idea when it comes to him at that moment because if not it would escape him and he would loose it. then one night he was driving and it was raining and dark. At that moment an inspiration came to him, and what he did, was he said out loud "Look, cant you see i'm trying to drive here? I cant write you now, please come back at a more convenient time!" well, thats what this comic reminded me of. Nice comic!

happens all the time to me. only i cant draw at the best of times lol so i get woken at 3am. tryand draw the idea down. wake up inthe morning and just go "{bwargh! what on earth is that ment to be?"
also happens with my writeing. i have an entire page of script where a charter just says
*campvoice* "yooohooooo.YOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO" oh dear oh dear oh dear. cool picture thoguh.
