Description Honest-to-goodness thing that happened to Chelsey.

...well, except for the last panel.

...ok, and I may have exaggerated in other places.

Oh man this is absolutely true

I'm in high school and I already see it all the retards seen to go on to "Harvard" while the the students that practically gave the school a grant go to a community college.

All My Extra Curricular Activities were done in High School!

Blech, I hate people who want you to take extra-curricular activities. My counselor (Who is an asshole whose opinion I couldn't care less about <3) and one or two of my teachers told me that I should get used to ECA's right now because I'll need 'em in college.

WHY?!

Why should employers care about whether I was a cheerleader or golfer or whatever! Maybe I spend my free time doing something there isn't a club for! 'Cuz seriously, there's like, no interesting clubs at my school right now. Just art club, but it's on Tuesdays now (Used to be Wednesdays), and I never have time to go anymore. Waaah.

Besides, maybe I want to spend my free time doing my homework and keeping my grades up! Since when do ECAs make you a better employee, and not awesome grades? Makes no sense.

see this is why you make up stuff and if they ask fo rproff give them friends names, or just randomly do stuff like submit random poems to contests and do one or two chariety proejects for school so you can say i was in the school Wellness Society thing...

Hehe. Wow. I had pretty much the same thing happen to me when I applied to UF. Apparently having a clear perception of where my priorities should be means I'm not well rounded. Go figure.

bwahaha. At the uni I go to, they don't really look at your marks when it comes to Med school. Well, they do, but their acceptance is more based on an interview to see if you would be suitable. Of course, high marks from high school definitely help...

That's so idiotic! Why would she be using pink pompoms?! *tsk*...

Seriously, tho, that's so dumb. No body ever thinks that you maybe couldn't take any extra-curricular activities because you were too busy trying to make it into a medical school!!! Jeeze louise, people!

FACT(from big brother): 84 % People with almost no extra curricular activities are seen as people who would commit suicide or mass murders on high stress jobs.

Fiction(me): no.

Reality: People who are mass murderers probably dont even need a high stress job because theyre off killing people. Ya rly. Sorry :/

I majored in Finance in college.

Took one basic drawing class, too (drawing shapes, some perspective design)....the best outside elective class I ever took. Broaden the horizons and stuff.

It is impossible to get decent grades while involved in extras. This year is my last in school, so I'm with the newspaper and the play and student council. I have YET to do any research cuz who's got time?!

I hope I never get the cheerleader doctor.
