It's actually just cardboard with a thinner cardboard strips glued on top for more detail and finally covered in tin foil and spray painted black. The corners are sanded carefully to reveal the foil. Just a couple of hours of work and has more detail than this shot reveals.

Hmm, I like the idea! Might do something with it myself too~
Although I mostly work with metal and carparts (see my gallery if interested)
