Description
I just wanted to enjoy a nice picnic with my robotic companion on this nice un-charted planet, but NO...some tentacle monster has to ruin everything! Sheesh!(11" x 14" ink on bristol)

Awesome!
Nothing is better than space-themed tenticle monsters.

By any chance are you a Bernie Wrightson Fan? I like the differant tonal effects that exist in both the monster and the figure. The contrast works for me.

wow, i have actually found another hard-core inker to comment on. so...please dont take anything to harshly that i am saying, considering your work is the only stuff i can actually somewhat comment on.
my main problem with this peice, is i wish you would have stayed consistent with your inks....well besides kind of a silly shaped figure, but that might have been your point. i really like the inks on the monster, they are very well done, with a very hard technique, especially to use to the extent which you did. i also like the ink work on the planets, as well as the whole in the ground....
but i think you could have worked a bit more on texturing the actual surface of the planet, as well as putting some more ink detail in the background, as well as the background monster. not too much ofcours,e but more. and then with the ink on the figure...i dont know...i just think the fact that the figure and the monster are inked differently, conflicts with them interacting together, and somewhat pulls them in two different directions...and not literaly, how you are obviously wanting it to be.
so good work, and a good idea, with some beautiful textures on the planets and monster....i hope to see more ink work in the future.
