Nora Amelia Jefferys has recently left a very steady and promising career as an assistant to the renowned cartographer Isaac Ortelius. At first, working for such a notable academic figure on the bustling and sophisticated planet of Comae Berenices seemed like a dream come true. Sadly, it quickly became routine and rather boring. It's no surprise then, that Nora jumped at the opportunity to join the crew of the infamous privateer ship Troll Havn and her captain, the Ruby Mockingbird...

Nora is an Automaton, a special class of sentient living constructs who are accorded full rights and citizenship in the Empire, despite being inorganic manufactured beings. Nora's corporeal housing is a fairly sophisticated Bluestone Industries GynoHominoid Openframe P-26 model with a polished bronze and copper finish. She is a second generation automaton, having been created by an automaton who was in turn created by a human technomancer. She is named after her technomancer "grandmother," Nora Jefferys, and chose her own middle name to honor the ancient Terran pilot and explorer, Amelia Earhart.
