I know what you mean. I know it seems unbalanced because the upper right quadrant is emptier than the rest. My original vision was exactly like the final result but during the production I saw the lack of balance and so I did try there some clouds and birds to restore balance. I also tried to raise the water on that side. All these solutions were compositionally good but all of them killed my vision and my intention of having her traveling into the blue, clear, pristine, untainted open sky. The concept (in my mind) needs that open space. There are times where the composition rules have to be broken...

Its not just about emptiness that we observe in the sky.
Bottom part of the picture, we see this beautiful huge wave which no doubt is the result of forces of nature, ie..the wind and right above it and slightly to the left, we see this ethereal and dynamic female figure floating on a rock tiptoeing on the very edge who is also subject to the same forces of wind as her hair is flung towards the right straight at a 90degree angle along with her shawl(?). But the sky in the background is totally devoid of any signs of this force, the wind. I personally feel that couple of sea birds(or something else that you prefer) also struggling in the wind will not only help bring balance to the image but also give it that extra dynamism and draw in the observer.
I totally understand your vision the way you describe it and often
we are forced to change that vision soon after we set up creating it because of the limitation we encounter along the way.
But in the end it is your vision and you must ignore fools like me and must present it the way *you* want it.
I will always remain one of your great admirers.

Thanks for willing to listen Arthur.
When I worked in the animation industry I've always received guidance and help
and this has become part of me and cannot help but offer others the same that I care enough.
But that does not mean that I am superior to you or anyone else. Far from it, specially your creativity has been a great inspiration not only to me but I am sure tens of thousands of other people out there who are lucky enough to come across your superb creativity!

I look forward to seeing your updated version.

Unfortunately, the idea I had didn't work, visually. I thought of adding a replica of the girl sitting in another floating rock, farther away, facing the opposite side of the sun. But it didn't work because the eyes have no reference and it's not visually obvious that the girl is far away, she just seems small. Adding other visual cues (like birds in the middle) made the scene too cluttered. So, I searched for some other cloud shapes and came across this one that I hadn't tried before. With clouds the problem of distance doesn't apply because the eyes instinctively know that the clouds are far away. In fact, I think it looks better than before, at least I prefer it this way. The clouds are subtle enough to not significantly disturb the purity of the sky that I wanted to have.

You are quite right on all those points Arthur.
Though one can fiddle with it endlessly, I think it is looking so much better.
