Discord jumped to a different timeline and decided to have fun with this ponyville causing Chaos, during his rain over ponyville Luna and Celestia turned Discord to stone with the elements of harmony to stop him.

thousands of years later after the elements of harmony turned to the jewels that the mane 6 wear Discord was released from his imprisonment as the two sisters were no longer connected to the elements. Raining his terror over again and tormenting the mane 6
with his chaos, he was defeated again by Twilight and his friends but this time he was speared from stone imprisonment because
of a shy pony Fluttershy who was able to convince the rest to spare him and took him under her wing to teach him kindness.

A few years go by and Discord spent his time helping Fluttershy and fell in love with the kind pony, confessing his love to Fluttershy under a special tree he and Fluttershy made a promise to care, love unconditionally and protect each other. A few years later Discord proposed under the same tree to Fluttershy, saying yes Fluttershy gave Discord a necklace with a ruby in it to signify their love.
