Description Ah, hehehe :3

After making this [link] , I came up with this little idea too.

Canada was just sitting down, minding his own business, enjoying some delicious Poutine. Russia just had to come in and think that he is eating his Putin.

Why? How could you?! What did Vlad ever do to you?!
Russia... I said Poutine , not Putin .
See? Big difference. Ah... Russia? Are you even listening?
*didn't hear him*

Plus, I just got myself Manga Studio program, and it is amazing! I used this for this comic. Not the greatest work, I know. (still trying to learn to use it). But I highly recommend getting this. It's a lot of fun.

there's a restaurant in Quebec called "Frites Alors!" which serves only fries/poutine as their dishes.

If you just want a normal poutine, you ask for 'Le Vladamir'
I .... I couldn't figure it out until I actually got my poutine and I just laughed the whole time. They actually write his name as "Poutine" in the papers, its pretty hilarious imho

Pretty similar I think, but we don't melt the cheese. We use cheese curds. Usually white curds, and more awesomeness!

ArticNorth In reply to Hapo57 [2011-05-08 09:49:29 +0000 UTC]

Yep. We Canadians are more messed up than others think we are. *nods*
For some reason, the image of a group of hungry Canadians with knives and forks chasing Putin through a hallway with many doors with the Benny Hill song playing comes to mind.

lol - I think that, to get this joke, we have to know that in French, "poutine" is pronounced as "poo-tin". Because in a lot of Anglophone areas (my own included), it's pronounced as "poo-teen" and you kind of lose the pun.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ArticNorth In reply to KitakLaw [2011-05-08 09:42:47 +0000 UTC]

That is very true. I've also noticed that a lot of people also spell Putin, 'Poutine'. *Not just the French* It's just a vicious cycle isn't it.*chuckles*

ArticNorth In reply to aquadestiny [2011-05-08 09:46:35 +0000 UTC]

*Fluffs his hair* Aww.. Russia~
The whole Poutine/Putin thing can be very confusing for some, especially if they never heard of Poutine before. *Thus, reactions like Russia's *
Though, we have the French to thank for this. For spelling his name 'Poutine'. hehe

aquadestiny In reply to ArticNorth [2011-05-08 10:19:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah... thanks France for confusing Russia forever and making sure that when he comes out of his funk he immediately goes on to try and beat your son up {not that Russia would succeed of course }.
