When I started this series I wanted to explore how the pool is a place where everyone is equal. The wheelchairs and crutches and prostheses can be forgotten at the poolside, in the water it is all irrelevant once buoyancy replaces gravity. No matter how many or how few functioning limbs you have, almost everyone floats, almost everyone can find a way to propel themselves, and everyone can find a freedom and grace in the water.

Beautiful picture. The texturing and light refraction in amazing. And her expression is beautifully ambiguous too - is she contemplating the race ahead, resting after a win, or reviewing her performance after having just lost to a rival...? 'Simple' though the picture is it tells a story. Great stuff!
