Why is the background so heavily detailed and beautiful when the woman is so . . . not? She looks very quickly slapped onto a photograph.

^ ikr? why bother going into detail of the entire space when you're not even going to put as great detail into the main focus kind of makes no sense if you ask me.... its like going on a massive trip to Paris to go see the Eiffel tower when in fact you never go and see the actual thing >_>

It was, actually. I was pointing out that the art style is clashing. The background looks obviously photoshopped while the woman looks like she was done by a second party with 20 less years of experience. It's disorienting.

Dude, first off, I didn't ask for your criticism. You've came here uninvited, throwing at me your stupid question. What answer your expect for something like that? What's the point of your question? What it is suppose to achieve?
Second, If you want to criticize other people hard work first of check if they want to hear it from you and second, learn to do so. No one likes 'that asshole' who enters the room and points people with finger.
I know guys like you, filled with sorrow and anger that someone other had scored and thinks 'I should have been in his place'.
You don't have to teach me how to get somewhere as I'm doing fine on my own. I've started from nothing 7 years ago and been working professionally for over 5 years now. Clients are happy with my work and know that I'm a reliable person.
And one more lesson from me, if you can't resist on criticizing other peoples work, do it politely and you'll avoid such pointless discussions in future.

The light is fantastic, as is the level of detail, one minor thing I started to notice was that the front figure actually appears to have less detail than those in the background. On the other hand that sharpness makes her stand out all the more as does the difference in style. Awesome job.
